The park at Jongmyo's gate — somewhere to slow down before you go in.

There is not much to see in the park itself. The point is Jongmyo on the other side of the wall, and this is where you slow down under the trees before going in. On the way out, walk left past the Jongno jewellery arcades and on into the alleys of Ikseon-dong — that makes a half day.
