Hongjecheon Artificial Waterfall

서대문 홍제폭포

A man-made waterfall on a city stream, cool and refreshing in summer.

Twenty-five metres high and sixty wide, this waterfall was built into the Hongjecheon cliff in 2011 and pours from morning to evening through summer. At noon and 5 pm a fountain joins in, briefly turning the city stream into a cool ravine.
