Vyroq in Seoul

Effective July 3, 2026

Privacy Policy

Vyroq helps people discover Seoul, save places, build day plans, and keep personal memories. Your memories are private by default.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive basic account information such as your email address, name, profile image, and user identifier through Supabase Auth.

Collected data may include your name, email address, profile image, saved places, plans, memories, captions, place suggestions, and uploaded photos.

How we use information

We use your information to keep your saved places, plans, and memories available across devices, to operate the service, and to improve discovery quality.

User content is not sold to advertisers. Public discovery features only use memories or place suggestions after a user intentionally shares or submits them for review.

If you send a discovery to Vyroq, we may review the place information before it appears in Traveler Found. Your personal memory stays private unless you choose to share it.

Storage and security

Vyroq uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, and memory photo storage. Supabase Row Level Security is used so user data is scoped to the signed-in account.

Uploaded photos may be served through signed URLs. Public Supabase anon credentials in the web app are client-safe and do not grant administrative access.

We keep uploaded photos and memory data only as needed to provide the service, review submitted discoveries, maintain safety, and respond to support requests.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how Vyroq is used and to improve the product — for example, which places are opened or saved and whether core actions succeed. This includes events such as screen views, opening or saving a place, building a plan, saving a memory, and data-sync activity, along with basic context like the place, its area and district, and the app language.

Analytics data is used in aggregate to improve discovery and reliability. It is not sold to advertisers.

Place information and photo credits

The curator's line and story for each place are written by Vyroq. The underlying place data — names, addresses, opening hours and photographs — comes from public sources: the Seoul Tourism Organization, the Korea Tourism Organization, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government (Smart Seoul Map).

Built using the VisitSeoul API. (비짓서울 API를 활용하여 제작되었습니다.)

Public-institution photographs are used under the Korea Open Government Licence (KOGL) with the source credited. A small number of photographs come from Wikimedia Commons and are credited to their photographer and licence on the place itself.

Photographs uploaded by travellers belong to the traveller who took them. Vyroq shows them inside the app only, and does not use them in advertising or marketing.

Your choices

You can use Vyroq as a guest without signing in, but guest data may stay only on the device. You can delete saved memories in the app or request account-related support.

You can request deletion of your account data, saved places, plans, memories, or uploaded photos by contacting us.
